Importance of Individualization

The response to vitiligo treatment varies based on several factors. These include the type of vitiligo, location of lesions, size of affected areas, patient age, duration of condition, underlying health issues, and previous treatments attempted. As such, a generalized one-size-fits-all approach may not be effective for every vitiligo patch or patient. An individualized treatment plan tailored to the specific needs of the patient and characteristics of their vitiligo is most prudent. Simply put, the treatment should address what is needed to recover the individual’s vitiligo and completely focuses on treatment based on being compliant. Its not a customized regimen where one take in to consideration about what patient wants and patient’s convenience.
