Side Effect Phobia

This is a common problem that affects many patients. This could be because of insufficient information or wrong advice. Any side effect depends on dose, duration and individual susceptibility. We can adjust dose and duration but we can not foresee individual susceptibility. One medicine does not cause every side effect in every dose or if taken for limited period. We believe that there is no absolute right or wrong medicine. Only the doctor and patient can make mistakes here. If doctor does not give proper instructions or make proper decision and if patient does not follow those instructions or take their own decisions, then these problems occur. One has to weigh the risk and benefit to decide about the treatment. If risk is very low and benefit is high, then doctor will decide to proceed with the treatment. Most of the side effects are reversible, temporary and minimal. Patients are advised to communicate regularly to report any events and our staff will contact patients regularly to monitor any side effects and advise the patients remedies if required.
